Allotment Rubbish

Please note that the waste bin and immediate area adjacent to the Trading Huts is for waste generated during the course of trading only. It is not for waste produced by allotment holders, who should make their own arrangements for safe and appropriate disposal.

The following dates were agreed for the coming season:
Shed Tidy - 21 April, 2018, from 10:00
Plant Sale - 13 May, 2018, 11:00 - 12:00; (Confirmed)
Allotment Inspection, Wednesday, 11 July a.m.
Social Sunday - 22 July, 2018
Harvest home dinner - TBA, 2018 (for OBAGS Volunteers)
Annual General Meeting - TBA, November, 2018
The Annual Hampshire Potato Days will be held on the Weekend, Saturday 27 January and Sunday 28 January, 10:00am - 3:00pm at Testbourne Community Centre, Micheldever Road, Whitchurch, RG28 7JF.

Mushroom Compost
Mushroom compost sales were very successful last year so we are repeating a bulk purchase this year. If you wish to buy a large amount (10 bags+) please inform Janet Cloke. We intend to purchase sufficient to fulfil specific orders, plus extra to sell from stock, hopefully at last year’s price of £3.15 per 75L bag.
It is a useful soil conditioner, but is not recommended for ericaceous plants as it contains a high percentage of chalk. More information is available here:
