US teacher Katherine Kennedy has sent an email to OBAGS in which she very kindly acknowledges the help our Links page has been to her students in researching their project ‘Fruits and Veggies and their Contribution to Health and Nutrition’.
They have compiled a list of relevant online resources and commend to us a couple of websites they think might be of particular interest. I have added them to our Links page with thanks to Mrs Kennedy’s Class.

Update on Drought Restrictions: South-East Water have revised their restrictions on the use of hosepipes, that take effect from 5 April, 2012. Certain concessions have been removed, in particular those relating to over 65’s. Only Blue Card-holders with severe mobility problems can now obtain personal exemption. More details can be found on their website.

Praise for Allotment Holders
OBAGS Chairman, Richard West, received this message from the Parish Council following its recent inspection: The allotments as a whole were much better looked after than previously and were looking good!
However, two allotments were considered not to have been maintained at all, so notices to quit were issued.
Also a few improvement letters were sent, just asking for a little more effort before the next inspection.
The number of letters sent was considerably less than last inspection.
