Concerns have been raised that there may be a risk of contracting Legionellosis from potting compost. Advice is offered by the The Royal Horticultural Society.
Maurice Bates stood down as Chairman Of OBAGS at the recent AGM, after n years in the position. The Society is indebted to Maurice’s stewardship over this period. He brought an experienced, steady hand and excellent leadership qualities to the role. Maurice remains on the committee, so we will continue to benefit from his wise words in the future. We are fortunate that he has been replaced by Richard West, a long-standing member of the committee who has worked tirelessly for the benefit of the Society.
Plant Sale 15 May, 2011 - We had a very successful Plant Sale, and thankfully the weather was dry and reasonably sunny.
Many thanks to the committee, volunteers and members who helped organize and run the day, and to everyone who donated plants and items for sale and prizes for the raffle.
