At the OBAGS Annual General Meeting held on Sunday 9 December it was agreed that a website would be constructed for the Society. Its purpose will be to keep the membership informed of Society matters and to facilitate communication amongst the membership.

It is also hoped that an internet presence will advertise our existence to a wider public and thereby swell our numbers.

It is intended that the website will be a going concern by mid-January, 2008 and further developments and refinements will be made in the coming months. If you have any suggestions for the site, or would consider contributing to it (a seasonal tips column perhaps?) please contact the webmaster.

At the OBAGS Annual General Meeting held on Sunday 30 November, 2008 the following changes to the Committee were agreed for the 2009 year:

Janet Cloke was appointed to the very important role of Treasurer to the Society following the resignation of Max Deadman. Max has ably served the Society as Treasurer for many years and retires with the grateful thanks and appreciation of the Committee and Members. More ...

Philip Ward resigned from the Committee, but will continue to serve the Society as a Helper. Les Orvis takes his place.

All other members agreed to continue in their present capacities for a further year, and there being no other candidates, were duly elected.

The following dates were agreed for the coming season:

Tidy Up and Maintenance, Trading Huts - 4 & 5 April, 2009

Annual Plant Sale - 17 May, 2009
